Summary: Spotted: A world turned upside down, where blood stains the streets and secrets lurk in every shadow. Rune’s life, once simple, is now a dangerous game of survival. The revolution has done its damage, and witches, once rulers of power, are now hunted outcasts with magic fading fast. But Rune’s not just any socialite—by day, she’s a picture of vapid perfection, but by night, she’s the mysterious Crimson Moth, saving her kind from the brutal purge.

But when a rescue mission goes south, Rune’s plan to escape the witch hunters goes up in smoke. Enter Gideon Sharpe: the ruthless, unforgiving witch hunter. He may be loyal to the revolution, but there’s something about Rune that makes his heart skip a beat…even as she’s hiding the very thing he’s sworn to destroy. And let’s just say, he’s not above pretending to court her to get closer to the truth.

But as their game of cat and mouse spins dangerously close to romance, Gideon begins to question everything. Beneath her glittering mask of wealth and charm, could Rune be the perfect match he’s been searching for? Or worse…the villain he’s destined to destroy?

Buckle up, gals. Kristen Ciccarelli’s Heartless Hunter is the start of The Crimson Moth duology, where love is the ultimate betrayal, and witches are only one bad decision away from losing it all. You never know who you’re really falling for.

XOXO, Kindle Girl: I’m reader who knows a good book when I see one, and trust me, Kristen Ciccarelli crushed this one! I fell in love with it the first time—and the magic? It didn’t lose a drop of its charm when I listed on Audible for round two. Witches? Not usually my thing, but this one was like… witches lite. The magic was just the right amount of witchy, and not enough to make me want to run for the hills.

But the real magic? The dual POV. It was done to perfection. Each shift in perspective pulled me in deeper—especially those moments when the MCs really opened up. You could practically feel their emotions in the air, how they tried to hide things from each other, and what they couldn’t hide at all. I was smiling AND cringing the whole time… and when it ended I was immediately dying for the sequel. You lucky gals that read it after Rebel Witch was released… JEALOUS.

Did I nail it, or no?
XOXO, Kindle Girl
