Spice: 🫑/🌶  (bold romantic descriptions)

Book Parents: If Fourth Wing and Crimson Moth had another baby… but the baby was older and more mature than the previous book in the series 🤣

Tropes and Elements: Fey, inherent character specific magic, enemies to maybe more than enemies, fake dating, undercover spies

Series: “Fey Spy Academy”, Book 2 of 3. Book 1 (Tower of Avalon) is released, Book 3 (Lady of the Lake) coming April 18, 2025.

Formats: ALL are/will be on KindleUnlimited. Hardback, paperback, and audible versions all also available.

Summary: Spotted: Nia, the girl who had no idea she’d end up as the fake mistress of the most terrifyingly seductive prince to ever stalk the halls of Brocéliande. And by stalk, I mean the Dream Stalker—a living nightmare wrapped in the most lethal kind of beauty. Lucky girl, right?

But wait, Nia didn’t plan this little rendezvous. No, no. She was just trying to save her boo, Raphael, but got herself caught in the most twisted of plots. The Dream Stalker has plans of his own—control, power, and the sweet art of manipulation. Enter: Nia’s secret weapon—mind control. Too bad she has to use it for the prince, or else execution chic might become her next look.

And let’s not forget the juicy tidbit: Avalon Tower thinks this whole scheme is a brilliant idea. Nia’s now got her hands full—spy by day, prisoner by night—while the prince dreams of wiping out humanity and overthrowing his dear old daddy. Will Nia be able to outwit the dreamy, dark prince before she’s the one at the top of the chopping block? Or will she fall for him, in more ways than one?

One thing’s for sure—courtly intrigue, deadly games, and heart-stopping twists. I wouldn’t trust anyone in this game, not even you, Nia. Stay tuned, darling. This one’s far from over.

XOXO, Kindle Girl: Remember how I wasn’t exactly obsessed with Avalon Tower? Well, Vale of Dreams was… A complete 180. HOLY CRAP. Where the first book felt like a YA little snack, this one was full on mature gourmet. It truly made all my hesitation about continuing this series DIE upon impact.

Not only was the romance more mature and more detailed, but the writing was WAY more sophisticated. Finally, we get to see some real character development, and let me tell you, the main characters? So much more likable. I mean, I was actually rooting for them and didn’t feel the immense apathy that I felt in book 1! And while yes, there are a couple of plot holes I’m still waiting to be filled, I’m holding out hope that book three will give us the answers we need (please, please).

Now, let me say—this book dialed down the spice a little compared to the first, but I’m not mad about it. I have a feeling we’re just getting warmed up for Lady of the Lake. And if it’s anything like this book? Can’t. Wait.

So cross your fingers the next book in this series will be everything Vale of Dreams was… and MORE! Until then…

XOXO, Kindle Girl
